"Don’t rush things. Slow steady progress is always better."
"When planning a trail chose your criteria wisely."
"Handlers tend to put a lot of pressure on the dog and not so much on themselves. If something goes wrong during a trail do not put the blame on the dog. Think about what happened, why the dog had problems and analyze if you could have done something differently."
"Always have fun with your dog. If you are too stressed, tired or had a bad day for whatever reason maybe it is better to skip that training."
"Trust to your dog"
"Start by observing, not directing.
Before you try to correct, help, or "improve" your dog's work, learn to read him.
Look at their body tone, head position, movement speed, and trajectory.
Dogs always work with the information available to them; your main role at the beginning is to not interfere and not force decisions."
"A good handler is not someone who "controls the dog," but someone who creates conditions in which the dog can work independently and correctly."
